TDC developed an integrated communications strategy for SketchUp in the EMEA region, targeting industry professionals. Our strategy focused on five key pillars: digital campaigns (podcast and website), social media, influencer partnerships, thought leadership, and media partnerships.

A key milestone was the launch of By Designers For Designers (BD4D), a curated platform of inspiration and insights created for designers, by designers. Conceptualised and developed by TDC and brought to life visually by Studio Don, BD4D designers.sketchup.com amplifies the voices of SketchUp users and the broader design community.

From concept to launch, TDC collaborated closely with SketchUp to shape this initiative, creating a hub for expert insights, tutorials, and standout projects from industry-leading designers.

In collaboration with Dezeen, TDC launched the Climate Salon podcast for SketchUp, exploring architecture, interior design, and climate change.

Launched during Milan Design Week for maximum exposure, the series quickly gained over 23,000 downloads, strengthening SketchUp’s brand awareness and fostering connections with key industry influencers.

Editorial features on Dezeen’s website further solidified SketchUp’s position as a thought leader in design software. This successful campaign highlights the power of a well-executed podcast in driving brand awareness and positioning a brand at the forefront of industry conversations.

Building on the success of the Dezeen x SketchUp Climate Salon podcast series, TDC expanded SketchUp’s partnership with Dezeen to focus on high-quality visual content. In collaboration with design studio Uchronia and designer and creative director Tola Ojuolape, we introduced new and diverse voices to SketchUp’s audience.

The SketchUp x Dezeen Design Workshops series now features across both SketchUp and Dezeen’s channels and is hosted on BD4D.

TDC continues to expand SketchUp’s global influencer programme. Following our initial partnership with architect Charlotte Taylor in 2023, we have engaged industry influencers, including Sam Gwilt, Thomas Rowntree, Johannes Budde, and Pieter Peulen. Most recently, we partnered with interior architect Tekla Evelina Severin, who used SketchUp to design the Solaris Exhibition for Stockholm Design Week. Looking ahead, we will continue to cultivate long-term SketchUp brand ambassadors.

In 2025, SketchUp onboarded TDC’s digital team to enhance its global social media strategy, manage its channels and community, and foster engagement within its global network of design professionals.

Through strategic communications, dynamic partnerships, and a focus on elevating design voices, TDC continues to position SketchUp as a leader in the creative industries.
